Q: How long should my hair be before waxing?
A: In order for the wax to effectively remove the hair, it's recommended that your hair be at least 1/4 inch long, which is roughly the length of a grain of rice. If your hair is too short, the may not be able to grip the hair properly, resulting in an incomplete removal.
Q: How often should I get waxed?
A: The frequency of waxing varies from person to person, depending on factors such as hair growth rate and personal preference. However, most people find that getting waxed every 4-6 weeks is sufficient to maintain smooth skin.
Q: Does waxing hurt?
A: While waxing can be uncomfortable, the pain is usually brief and tolerable. Our experienced estheticians use techniques such as applying pressure to the skin to minimize discomfort. Additionally, regular waxing can lead to less pain over time as the hair becomes finer and easier to remove.
Q: Can I wax if I'm pregnant?
A: If you're pregnant and considering waxing, it's generally safe to do so. However, we recommend consulting with your doctor first to ensure that there are no underlying health concerns that may affect the safety of the procedure. Additionally, some women may experience increased sensitivity during pregnancy, so it's important to communicate any discomfort to your esthetician during the waxing process.
Q: What kind of wax does Real Brazilian Wax use?
A: Hard wax (Honey) is used for sensitive parts (Brazilian, Under Arms, Face), and soft wax for less sensitive skin (Legs, Arms, Stomach, Back) and for extremely sensitive skin we recommend sugaring wax.
​Q: Should I trim my hair?
A: If trimming is necessary, please leave your hair must be at least 1/4-inch long, or around the size of a grain of rice.
Q: Can I get waxed if I am on my period?
A: Yes. But before you come to the appointment, make sure it is clean and has tampons. It is always better to wait until your period passes, because five days before and during menstruation, women are more sensitive to pain.
​Q: Do you have any age restrictions on waxing?
A: Anyone over the age of 18 can have waxing, under age need to read our policy page.

Q: When should I start exfoliating?
A: You should start exfoliating after 72 hours of max, every other day.
Q: Can I work out after getting a wax?
A: Yes, unless you do physical activity that causes you to sweat or have some type of friction in the waxing area.
​Q: What if I’m taking medications?
A: We do not recommend waxing if you take antibiotics or topical acne medications (including Accutane, Differin, Retin A, prednisone or corticosteroids) as it can make your skin more sensitive and susceptible to some types of lifting.
If you are taking any type of medication, please inform your esthetician at the time of waxing.
